President Trump's Poland Speech

A knock your sox off speech.

We are so blessed!

Living under the 'democratic' power of atheists and communists and bigots for eight years makes one especially grateful for the restoration of adoring God, law and order and love for our country.

And when the day came on June 2nd, 1979, and one million Poles gathered around Victory Square for their very first mass with their Polish Pope, that day, every communist in Warsaw must have known that their oppressive system would soon come crashing down.  (Applause.)  They must have known it at the exact moment during Pope John Paul II’s sermon when a million Polish men, women, and children suddenly raised their voices in a single prayer.  A million Polish people did not ask for wealth.  They did not ask for privilege.  Instead, one million Poles sang three simple words:  “We Want God.”

In those words, the Polish people recalled the promise of a better future.  They found new courage to face down their oppressors, and they found the words to declare that Poland would be Poland once again.

As I stand here today before this incredible crowd, this faithful nation, we can still hear those voices that echo through history.  Their message is as true today as ever.  The people of Poland, the people of America, and the people of Europe still cry out “We want God.”

I continue to wonder whether prolifers who worked against Donald Trump are admitting their error. I mostly wonder about the Catholics in the Ted Cruz campaign who continued to undermine Trump's chances of winning even after Cruz was out of the race. Some of them went so far as to suggest to Catholic prolifers that Clinton would be better than Trump. Terrible leadership that really put Cruz's political ambitions above the safety of our people, religious freedom and God Himself.

Folks like Jason Jones who should have known better. Jason is a really great guy who works hard for Christ and the victims of abortion. But his political trajectory post-Cruz was a let-down. Knowing the burdens it placed upon our country and people, I was blown away by it.

Dave Carlin, whom I have always had great respect for, was another example.

As time has marched on and its become so clear that Trump is fantastic, I wondered if they've come to Jesus with their political talking points.

Looks like Fr. Rutler has been wondering the same.

Nobody skewers like Fr. Rutler:

Over the July 4 weekend, a large conference of invited Catholic leaders was held in Orlando, Florida, organized as “an ongoing initiative of the Bishops’ Working Group on the Life and Dignity of the Human Person.” Undaunted by the failure of countless conferences and “renewal programs” over recent decades to accomplish their stated purpose, the organizers cannot be faulted for a lack of optimism in thinking that a new missionary zeal may be born from several days of speeches, seminars, “dialogues” and an occasional performance of soporific “Christian” elevator music. The tone was upbeat, and one does not want to squelch the Spirit, but the general tone was of human optimism rather than supernatural hope, and not altogether more reassuring than Captain Smith telling the passengers on the top deck of Titanic to ignore any pieces of ice.

The whole lot of them are disbelievers in the power of Sacramental Sanctifying Grace. Endless conferences that look for a cheap gimmick to keep people glued through religious entertainment.

There is latitude of opinion and taste for assessing the “timeless eloquence” of any modern oratory, of which our nation has been bereft during the last administration despite all sorts of efforts to convince us that Demosthenes haunted the Potomac, even if the presidential speeches were inchoate in logic and blighted in diction. But it would be much in the order of natural virtue, let alone Christian justice, to ask an apology from those numerous savants who said in 2016 that the man who spoke with lasting significance in Warsaw on July 6, 2017 is “manifestly unfit to be president of the United States.”

If you haven't read President's Trump's speech in its entirety, do yourself a favor and take the time! As soon as he mentioned my beloved St. John Paull II, I was hooked.

Here are a few more highlights:

We write symphonies.  We pursue innovation.  We celebrate our ancient heroes, embrace our timeless traditions and customs, and always seek to explore and discover brand-new frontiers.

We reward brilliance.  We strive for excellence, and cherish inspiring works of art that honor God.  We treasure the rule of law and protect the right to free speech and free expression.

We empower women as pillars of our society and of our success.  We put faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, at the center of our lives.  And we debate everything.  We challenge everything.  We seek to know everything so that we can better know ourselves.

And above all, we value the dignity of every human life, protect the rights of every person, and share the hope of every soul to live in freedom.  That is who we are.  Those are the priceless ties that bind us together as nations, as allies, and as a civilization.
What we have, what we inherited from our -- and you know this better than anybody, and you see it today with this incredible group of people -- what we've inherited from our ancestors has never existed to this extent before.  And if we fail to preserve it, it will never, ever exist again.  So we cannot fail.

Outstanding.

Oh, I concur! I have been on the Trump bandwagon, enthusiastically, for quite a while, but very much so about three months before he was elected, because it should have become apparent to any Christian that there was no way he was going to get that far without God's help. Anyone could see the diabolical forces aligned against him, and that there he was, still promoting America and Americans, still being kind to everyone he met, and there is an intangible quality of, I don't know, goodwill? The man emanates it, and it is no show, he means it. I am not a newbie to politics, nor am I a child, I've seen a lot of politicians, he is not one, he's better.
The man is not glib, but don't let that fool you, he is earnest about doing the right thing. God writes straight with crooked lines.
He came in and took that election and the Democrats never thought it possible. That was clear. They own every media machine, and they never saw it. That's incredible.
How many times has the man mentioned God, or Christians, or Christianity, or life?
I can understand god-haters disliking him, and there are many Communist-toadies, people who don't even read or care about history, etc., but what explains Catholics hating him with such passion. What explains our own BISHOPS holding such venom for a man who is THE best friend Christians have had in office for many years!
He went to Poland and spoke words of support and encouragement to the WEST, at a time when we are facing real and serious existential threats, and Christians are STILL criticizing him?? That, is a death wish. When you cheer the means of your own destruction, there are screws loose. At the very least, people are moral cowards, and are waiting for others to put a finger in the air to see which way it is blowing, and then inform them who they should support. There are simply not enough intelligent and informed Catholics out there. They are now Marxist toadies, as are our Bishops in large part.
God bless President Donald J. Trump! God bless him and keep him, continue to guide him and help him. Helping him, helps US, and we can thank Almighty God for that.
Please expect the man to make mistakes, but you'll not find me criticizing him lightly. We are FOOLS if we do not give him our entire support. There are no other friends out there, as we should well know.

Now, if only Fr. Rutler were Pope or even a Bishop.
